We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Clai Carr for his ice time contribution to the SHW Program. Clai has donated ice slots at the Gardens Ice House at Laurel. This contribution is both unexpected and generous. The facility boasts three ice surfaces, a fitness facility, pro shop, food-court, library, curling center and a lounging den with comfortable seats and a gas-operated fireplace. In addition to SHW, the facility is host to the University of Maryland Terrapins, Tri-City Eagles, county programs, public skating, figure skating and numerous recreational and instructional hockey and skating programs.
